Laura Fearn is an artist, designer and illustrator based in Bath, UK. She paints in acrylic, watercolour and pen & ink. Laura is also an award-winning book designer with 30 years design experience. Her latest children's book "Rocket Science for Kids" came out in July 2025.
Laura studied at the University of Brighton and went on to work at Usborne Publishing in London for 9 years. She now works from her garden studio in Bath where she designs and illustrates greetings cards, stationery and books, creates portraits in acrylic or pencil and paints street scenes and landscapes. She loves strong colour and the contrast created by shadows on bright, sunny days. She is also fascinated by the city at night and enjoys painting wintry street scenes. Laura has painted 14 large street sculptures including Gromit and Shaun the Sheep for Bristol and several owls for Bath.
